When is it time for something new? Do you ever wonder this? As humans, we are constantly evolving and changing but sometimes we feel a deep yearning for change, BIG change. As you can see, ELANALOO.COM just went through some BIG change & I thought I’d pull back the curtain & walk through what this transition has been like on the back end. 

I love this thought by Brianna Wiest: 

“When it is time for something new, you will feel it. You will feel a desire to let go, to shed layers, to move, to re-create. You will know because there will be subtle shifts all around you. You will release the old because you are really clearing the path for what’s ahead. Trust this process. Know that life does not take from us anything unless there is something else imminently awaiting its replacement.” 

With so much evolution personally, I’ve been feeling the need for language and space that reflects our focus and mission now. In the spring of 2019, we began a complete rebrand & website redesign! It was exhilarating (and a lot of work) but so much less work this time around since we weren’t going it all alone. 

I have DIYed everything in our business for so long and have never felt like it was complete or a full representation of our work. It felt SO GOOD to place this project in the hands of talented, capable, supportive people who want to help elevate our brand. The goal of this new site is to serve as much more of a resource to both individuals and business owners. The team helping Aaron and I have been incredible and I am so excited for this next chapter of our business!

CLOSING OF A CHAPTER

There are different chapters in all of our businesses, aren’t there? The start up phase, maybe a little refinement, a bunch more refinement, a change of course or a deeper dive into what we really feel called towards. Twists and turns are to be expected and even welcomed…

The last chapter in our business was titled: Dérive Collective. The storyline was charming and fresh, the two characters charting a new territory. It marked Aaron coming on full time and us living in Hawai’i – it was exciting and fulfilling. In my eyes, having Dérive Collective meant something that was ‘ours’ not just mine and that was my intention from the second he joined on. If we’re being honest, we didn’t know how long us working together would last. But it’s lasted. We make a good team. But as time passed, it started to feel more like we were managing a second brand.

Two sites, two sets of emails, confusion for clients & frankly, that wasn’t what we wanted. We value clarity, direction, simplicity. With that being said, Dérive Collective has been merged into ElanaLoo. You can see our collective work & offerings here and here!

The intention with our new site, this new space on the internet, is to better serve, to better connect and to better know you … and if the beginning of this chapter is a prelude to the rest, I think we’re on the right path. The feedback we received with the launch was incredible! Many conversations were sparked, ‘aha moments’ had and encouragement shared.
