These last couple of weeks (well, more like the month of May) have been rough – point blank. Although I don’t want to let the sadness and chaos of them overcome the beautiful experiences we had the preceding weeks before everything untangled.
As you may have seen, we went to Oahu at the end of April. We hadn’t been in about five years and we wanted to get a more intimate, adventurous and luxurious experience on the island to combat the touristy experience we had years ago. One of our very favorite memories from this trip to Oahu was a sunset sail!
We loved taking in the views of the city from the sea – a wildly contrasting perspective. As you might have seen here on the blog or my social media before, I love to sail. It’s one of my favorite things and a great dream of mine is to learn how to sail (fingers crossed that day will be soon!)
We booked the sunset sail using an app called Activiter. It’s an app created by a local Hawaiian guy which allows anyone looking into activities on the islands to book for less! Waikiki’s tours, excursions, etc can add up quickly so we welcomed the discounted rates they offer on the app! They have excursions + tours on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Kona and Hilo. We have a bunch on our list for when we get back to Hawaii!
I would highly recommend using the Activiter app + going out on the Manakai Catamaran while on Oahu (looks like everyone who hops on enjoys!). The low-key, good-times vibes on the boat made for such a relaxing, lovely night.
Here are some scenes from our evening. . .
Have you been sailing before? If so, where is your favorite place you’ve been?
